About Young Latinas Leadership Institute (YLLI)
The Young Latinas Leadership Institute (YLLI) is a program that provides young Latinas with the tools and support to pursue and attain college degrees.
The aim of YLLI is to prepare young Latinas for positions of leadership through mentorship opportunities, as well as unique experiential learning initiatives.
100 Hispanic Women, Inc. knows that leadership is a developmental process that requires customized training. YLLI focuses on building leadership capabilities such as vision, motivation, organization, decision-making and action. Effective leaders impact the future, give direction, and provide guidance and inspiration. Effective leaders empower people to realize their full potential.
Participation in YLLI will result in a higher capacity for such leadership qualities.
YLLI inspires tomorrow's emerging leaders through mentorship, training segments and as interns.
The YLLI program is unique in that it engages students and family members to address personal obstacles, thus maximizing the potential for success. Role models/mentors are able to provide young Latinas with the strategies, attitudes and support systems that will increase their likelihood of gaining successful leadership.
YLLI inspires participants to assume greater leadership roles on the local, national and global level.
